E-gov 2.0: pave the way for eParticipation
Presentation event of 2009 edition of Eurospace annual Volume, “E-gov 2.0: pave the way for eParticipation”, Department of Economy and Employment, City Hall of Madrid, 5 ottobre 2010.
The 2009 volume, “E-gov 2.0: pave the way for eParticipation” wqs presented in Madrid, on 5thOctober 2009, in cooperation with the City Hall of Madrid and with the support of the Italian Ministry for Public Administration and Innovation.
The subject of the conference: the ways in which the new ICT are changing the present political survey, thus contributing to the concrete construction of an active citizenship. The goal of the convention: fostering the exchange and the sharing of tools, objectives and experiences between all the subjects interested in placing the citizen at the centre of the policy and decision-making processes. The event counted on the participation of some of the most important international personalities (Italy, Austria, France, Belgium, Spain, Finland and others other countries) coming from European Commission, EIPA, from some regional European Administration as well as from some of the most prestigious European universities.
The initiative was supported by the European Council, the European Commission, EIPA and by a remarkable number of European Community administrative bodies, including: the Ministry of Finance of Cyprus, the Slovenian Ministry of the Public Administration, the ASA, Belgian Agency for Administrative Simplification, the Fedict, Federal Public Service for Information and Communications Technologies, Latvian Ministry of the Public Administration, the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, the City of Madrid, the Ministry of Public Sector Affairs and Administrative Reforms of Luxemburg, the Ministry responsible for the Office of the Hungarian Prime Minister, Digital Austria, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Ministry of Public Sector Affairs and others.
The topics of the Volume
Seventh stage in a process that finds a “one of its kind” Italian publication on technological innovation to be addressed to all the public administrations of Europe, the 2009 volume dealt with the following specific topics:
- E-Democracy: ICT and policies for participation
- The digital rights in the age of technological innovation
- Resources, knowledge and new skills
- Interoperability and Applicative Cooperation
